Trial of Chaos

I'm getting stuck on the second encounter of my first Trials of Chaos run. The trialmaster is supposed to spawn in, freeze time, and say a line or two, which is not happening. Instead, I'm able to run to the elevator and go into the encounter, but the encounter never starts. I've tried resetting the waypoint, I've restarted the game multiple times, I've collected a new key, I've waited before the encounter, walking around to try and spawn him in, and I don't use any movement skills or dodge forward, even verified game files. Nothing is working.
Any help on how to fix this issue is greatly appreciated. Last bumped on Jan 3, 2026, 3:46:48 AM

" PoE2 longplay for reference, linked with timestamp for selecting the modifier for the second room of the quest trial I don't think the Trialmaster is supposed to cut in like you think. After going down the elevator, you have to interact with the Corruption Dias to begin the trial yourself. I remember someone else bringing this up as an issue before, but I don't remember what the specific cause for the issue was. Can you not see the Corruption Dias as interactable?
