Lineage Support Gem Drops Need Changed/Increased

I think this is a glaring issue that doesn't feel right in the game at the moment.

Lineage gems for a majority of the player base can usually be the most expensive pieces of their gear, especially ones that are build defining in a lot of instances (rakiata's flow as an example). Rakiata's at one point has been 150 divs by itself. My character has 300+ divs worth of support gems, far surpassing the rest of my gear combined, and this is the case for every single person I play with.

I think a support gem being the "chase" item for a lot of builds is really lousy, and a pretty bad feeling to have where most players will sacrifice their entire gearset at the expense of a gem you never see because the price of the gem becomes unobtainable the longer the season goes on.

The reward feels really cheap in comparison to get an actual piece of gear, like an amazing weapon or something like headhunter's that actually changes the strength of your character as a whole, or changes how it plays completely like headhunter.

This is compounded by the fact that a lot of players who want to try new builds are unable to do so because that requires them to get some unobtainable lineage gem for whatever skill/build they want to change to, leaving them stuck with what they are using instead. Again, obtaining gear in comparison a lot of your gear can be reused in most instances, so you arent nearly as hamstrung trying things out unless you go completely off the reservation to something entirely different.


I hope GGG sees this and takes a hard look at lineage gems because right now I think they are in an awful spot.

Numerous build ideas are dead because these gems which allow unique combinations are gated behind RNG.

Pretty awful to try and solve the lack of build diversity through chase skills...

You have a pretty cheap build, if your the most expensive piece is a lineage supp, for example - just one jewel of mine cost more then 1k div, and it's not the most expensive part. So, prob, you should find out how to PROGRESS and OPTIMIZE your farm to achieve your goals? Btw this piece of advice is solving 99% of topics.

The prob is - ppl don't want to play, to check and learn - you want mirror drops right freaking now or gg no loot.

I don't who needs to hear this but you don't need lineage support gems..... If they were to make them more common they would need to tone down the power bump and at that point just remove the entire system entirely and make them regular support gems. The problem is there are a couple that are just to good with no downside while most are extremely situational to trash
