Maps/Endgame as "normal"/regular/casual gamer feels god-awful. All punishment, zero rewards.

People want to actually access the game mechanics by playing the game. And by playing the game I mean like maybe 2-3 hours a day. I have 125 hours this season which already is like 5 hours as day on average (since I had 2 weeks off).

I've ran like 100 maps this season with Ritual on them. I have not even seen a single Omen of Whitling, Erasure, Annulment, Crystallization, Recombination. Not even seen one. All I am seeing is the Exaltation ones and a corruption or Amelioration here or there. I have unlocke all atlas points including specing into increased Omen chance and more rerolls. All of these Omens go for multiple divines.

I've ran like, idk 300 maps in total with 100% rarity and I had like maybe 6-7 raw divine drops, 1 perfect exalt and 1 perfect chaos. That's it.

Breach is nerfed to the ground, you're lucky if you get a catalyst per breach. Hey after a 100 maps with breach you might even have enough catalyst of a type to quality a ring with it!

Abyss from 0.3 got nerfed to the ground.

etc. etc.

Here is the problem: It sucks that as a casual that you are practically excluded from any late game crafting activities. 0.3 felt so fucking good having homo slams. Now? Why would I even try to use a perfect exalt? Why would I even to use that Omen of Light I found? Why would I not sell that Greater Essence of Seeking? Most likely it will just be wasted for me. Just sell it to the no-life sweats who have exploited their way to hundreds and thousands of divs and buy something on the market instead. Sucks donkey balls, what can you do?

I don't know the solution to this problem. But how GGG does not see this as the primary concern for this games is beyond me. 99% of their playerbase is straight up locked out of a crucial part of endgame under the pretense that crafting perfect items would be "too easy" for the no-lifers. But the kickers is that they will exploit the shit out of the game anyway and no issue crafting that perfect item anyway. Scarcity to the point of excluding 99% of players from core mechanics ain't it.

The solution is...

A) Give people more farming options.

Abyss and Ritual for omens are good examples. However, not being able to pick a layout feels terrible. PoE 1 mapping is way better than the cancer we have available to us. GGG needs to do a lot better in this aspect. We need more control over what we farm and how we farm.

B) Don't let people farm everything using one specific method.

GGG is doing OK in this aspect. Some omens drop from Abyss, some from Ritual. Sanctum drops Temporalis and jewels.

C) Test your mechanics properly and do not intervene post-release.

Farming methods will balance themselves out most of the time anyway. We are talking about in-game economy here.

I especially hate it when they use sentences like "To prevent everybody farming one single mechanic we have decided to reduce the bla bla of the said mechanic".

Brother, if players need A, B and C and everybody is farming A, then the relative value of B and C over A will increase naturally. But if you intervene after a day or a week, you prevent this from happening and the relative value of A, B and C stay basically the same. As a result, people who have farmed A pre-nerf find themselves at an exceptionally advantageous position.

This has been an issue for YEARS now. Either I'm terribly wrong or we have bigger problems.
To A) I am fine with the option. I like playing Ritual, Abyss, Breach, Expedition and the Temple. I enjoy it all. My issue is the rarity. Given how rng crafting is again after removal of homo slams it's too little. Last season I had like 3 Omens for annuling, 4-5 Omens of light, like 4 or so Crystalization ones and found idk 10 or homogenization Omens. That was enough, because homo slams allowed to make these few attempts count for something.
But now? We are back at either you have hundreds of divines and can semi-reliably craft or you are locked out of it outside of just slamming exalts/greater exalts.
It's like hitting an insurmountable wall that blocks off from one of the best parts of the game.
