Is this real life?

So there is clearly a lot of controversy surrounding the recent hotfix to Vaal temples. I understand nerfing the temple, although why not just leave it till the end of the league, it was extremely powerful - and probably some of the most fun I've personally ever had in the game. I attended only hosted vaal temple runs, because I had not educated myself about them yet, but obviously after one run I was hooked. I spent some time watching youtube tutorials, guides, playing with planners, and running tons of maps to reset the abomination of a temple I had created just from playing. All to have that house of cards come crumbling down when the hotfix dropped decimating the vaal temple runs dropped, and I can understand why, it was too powerful.

What I am failing to grasp is the concept of how, as game developers, do you justify a hotfix, where not only are you nerfing and making these runs impossible for people to setup anymore, or eradicated the time people have put into their temples, but at the same time allowing these runs to take place for those people whom have already had the fortune of setting it up?

This is so contradictory, you have identified something as over tuned, you applied a hotfix to it that only puts it out of reach for 99% of the player base, while allowing only a small percentage of people to maintain it?

This may seem borderline conspiracy, but it seems that there are ulterior motives here you are taking into consideration when coming up with, and applying these patch notes. Wether it's to do with streamers or RMT. Why else are you protecting the abilities to generate mass amounts of wealth for few individuals while simultaneously taking that abilities away from the vast majority of players?

Because their conclusion based on market economics is that they need to manipulate the overall market through patches, rather than solving the actual problems players encounter, they believe this is the only effective method. Only when the economy is stable will they release new patches to make things less painful.
The fact that a few people earn large amounts of currency has no impact on the market, so they don't care whether those who complete the construction of the temple are affected. Preventing more people from building temples is indeed a way to prevent the market with currency, but given the current situation, it doesn't matter.
