Omen of Dextral Crystallization + Perfect Essence of Sorcery duplicate mod error

To whom it may concern:

Trying to craft this staff:



Checking its mods, it has 3 prefix and 1 suffix. I'm trying to replace the +1 Physical Spell Level.

I use an Omen of Dextral Crystallization with a Perfect Essence of Sorcery and get the following:

"Failed to apply item: This item already has a mod of this type"

Since the Omen should force the Perfect essence to target the only suffix it has, and the Perfect Essence should remove it first, shouldn't this work?

If this is intended, that's fine. I just figured I'd bring it up.

Use the same omen to put on essence of the abyess to replace the +1 with mark of the abysal lord, then do what you are doing to add + spells

That being said, I am curious if it's intentional or not for the previous interaction to not work.

you can only use an essence if the mod family it is part of, isn't already on the item
