Triggering Lunar Blessing's cooldown but not the skill

Im running shred on R2 and Savage Fury on Alt R2. Im running Lunar Blessing on Alt Triangle.

I only just started using this button config during my most recent session and noticed more than once I'd attempt to call in LB but I'd get the animation without the screen darkening or the skill occuring and the skill's cooldown would begin. It looks similar to SF being called in.

I'm holding R2 and trying to call it LB by pressing my alt button and triangle but because I haven't quite let go of R2 it kind of calls in SF instead but causes LB to enter cooldown without charging you rage or triggering the skill's bonuses.
