SOLVED - Dualist Gladiator - no rage after allocating notable
|
Hi all,
I have an issue with a Dualist Gladiator build: the character should gain 30 rage after allocating the Flow of Battle notable, but it doesn't. Tried linking rage support to my main skill (Eviscerate) but even that does not grant rage. What could be the issue? " 2 issues with this statement: Flow of Battle grants 30% increased damage and 5 rage on hit, so I think you might be mixing up the 2 values? Rage on hit has an internal cooldown of 0.5 seconds (explained in Rage tooltips). Meaning even if you hit 30 enemies, the first enemy hit will trigger the 0.5 second cooldown and the subsequent hits won't generate rage from Eviscerate. Unless maybe there is a gap of 0.5 seconds between mobs hit from the same attack.. honestly have not paid attention to how that part works. But still won't generate 30 rage from one Eviscerate like that. Rage support would also just add rage gain to when you would gain rage. So if you had 0 rage, with Flow + Rage support, then the first enemy hit will generate 8 rage (plus any other sources of rage on hit you may have). But the 0.5 second cooldown does not change. |

Prior to two years ago, Rage was displayed as a buff.
It's no longer there, so if that's where you were looking, that's why. https://imgur.com/a/XiWRvfa Rage now appears along the outside of the Mana Orb in the bottom right, as long as you've gained Rage in the current instance. |

Thanks for the replies.
If I understand correctly, allocating the FLow of Battle notable should 'activate' the red counter around the mana orb. But it is not appearing. I checked my stats in POB but rage doesn't show up. I am aware of the cooldown on rage support. Even in juiced up maps there is no rage gain. |

Looking at the combo and text, Flow of Battle should work with getting rage once you hit with Eviscerate. You should at least see your 5 rage around mana globe in combat.
Try linking Rage Support with a regular melee skill to make sure you are able to gain rage via regular methods. If that works then something is up with retaliation skills and rage or that notable. |

" It won't. Having a source of Rage gain is not enough to make the Rage bar appear. You actually have to gain Rage before it will appear. I just tested with generic "Gain Rage on Melee Hit" passives, and Eviscerate granted the expected Rage. " PoB won't account for Rage unless you configure it manually, unless there's some case for Kaom's Spirit. |

" This did the trick. Rage works as expected now. Thank you so much for your feedback! Last edited by The_real_Yoda1#2518 on Jan 9, 2026, 2:32:53 AM
