Does PoisonBurst Arrow need PoisonIII?

I'm confused, please help me please~

Does PoisonBurst Arrow need PoisonIII support? I've seen some BD using it with BleedIII, but many other don't.

So how the poison DOT calcs upon PoisonBurst Arrow? The hit damge (with PlagueFinger) x 0.2? If so, no need of PoisonIII because the poison damage is triggered by the skill function.

And another question would be the PieceIII. If it piece the first enemy and the second would get 80% of the hit damage right? So the second poison burst DOT would be 0.8*0.2? I got this question because of the explain words on DB(quote):Modifiers and Debuffs that affect the enemy's ability to mitigate damage (such as Shock) can affect the damage the enemy takes from Poison, but any such modifiers that specifically apply to Hit damage (such as Penetration) do not affect Poison damage.

It doesnt need it, but if enemy is bleeding, it boost poison damage. There are other ways to make enemy bleed, not just support gem that waste gem slot.

Dunno what are your "calculations" and why you are mixing hit damage and poison magnitude. Poison damage is based on hit, and then multiplied by magnitude. 20% more poison magnitude = poison_damage*1,2.

And shock certainly dont "affect the damage the enemy takes from Poison". Shock can increase damage of hit which will result in higher poison damage, but it dont interact with poison itself (thus applying shock after hit wont increase damage of poison caused by that hit).

There are two tab for PBA:
1. Arrow:
this is normal skill panel we could understand, all the hit damage, and the estimate poison damge is NOT poisonburst.

2. PoisonBurst:
there are only two blue number here: duration and aoe size. There is a damage number below, but the number is just the arrow per use damage.

So...where to check ?

Base poison magnitude is 20% of phys+chaos hit damage before mitigation. You can check number in detailed DPS tooltip (the > next to dps number on equiped gem), but its not rly accurate as itdont count conditional modifiers.

No. Any skill can do posion damage if pioson chance is high enough, and the posion damage is shown on the panel. This is very clear and understandable.

But my question is how much would be the PoisonBurst? It's not shown on the panel or I don't know where to look? Or, this skill's function is:

Just add a 100% sure poison as a burst to damage the monster itsself and in range monsters? Which means this skill need no poison chance. And the burst damage is still regular hit damage pre-mitigration( by Plaguefinger) x 0.2 x all the magnitude you get from passivetree and equipment. ONLY it's duration is much longer than regular poison damage.

Am I right?
Skills with multiple effects has multiple tabs, if you want to see info about poisonburst, check poisonburst tab.

And you dont need poison chance, the poison on poisonburst arrow is skill effect.
poisonburst tab dosent has a clear tag for damage, not like lightning arrow's burst or lightning spear's beam.

I think this skill need to revise statment words to let player understand it's mechanism.

1. it'll creat a poison burst when the arrow hit the enemy.

2. this poison burst's damage inherent the hit damage as normal poison caculation. with 20% more for quality.

3. this burst has it's own duration and radius.
