POE2 companion limit with smith of kitava

when using smith of kitava's manifest weapon it will take up the 1 companion slot and is unable to be deactivated unless removed via point refund.

This means that if you use smith of kitava's manifest weapon you CANNOT use ANY companion at all.

What's the bug?
Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.
