Rite of passage golden Charm bugs out simulacrum on wave 12 and 13

When too many Spirit Primates are summoned into the arena, they prevent the simulacrum from advancing to the next wave after clearing out all mobs. The NPC doesnt respawn. upon reentering the zone, the NPC will be present, but clicking on him will not result in him advancing the wave.
This has never happened to me prior, and i took that charm into simulacrum for the first time, so im positive the charm is at fault here.
