Cannot proceed on "The Search" quest after killing the boss of Excavation map (Bug ID: 4019941676)

Step 1: Fight the Excavation boss (campaign)
Step 2: Kill him and die right after
Step 3: While dead, look at him get up on its rock and BEFORE Tavakai shows up, click Respawn
Step 4: Get back to the scene

Outcome: No one is there

Expected:
Either the boss is there unscathed, and I have to fight him
OR the scene plays with the relevant NPCs
OR the door opens, with a a detection system that lets the needed NPCs spawn
