Extremely long load times, unable to play.

Starting yesterday January 13, 2026 I have been stuck on EXTREMELY long load screens. I have been unable to get into the game at all. I have reinstalled poe2, I have tried numerous fixes with the graphics settings, in the nvidia control panel, deleting shader cache folders etc.. Nothing has worked. I was able to play fine for the last 3 weeks. Why is there no fix for this?

Did you update your display driver by any chance? this will cause a recaching, you have to let it load fully, then the following load should be reasonnable. Also deleting or moving cache will also cause a recaching.

If you mean, did i update my nvidia drivers, I did, but this issue started before I decided to do that. I have tried loading into the game at least 20 times, will the cache not be rebuilt by then? I have got into the game a couple times, but then I get insane load screens if I open the map device. Then i get insane load screens when i join a map, then when I do get into the map all the enemies are invisible.

In the nvidia control panel if you switch your power settings to maximum performance then it should make the loading times normal. It did for me.

3d settings - manage 3d settings - global settings. Scroll all the way down and then a couple of clicks up there should be "power management mode". Set it to maximum performance.

Not sure if the settings are the same for all graphics cards as some have different capabilities.
