Why I’m Playing Path of Exile 1 Before Diving Into PoE 2

I recently discovered Path of Exile on Steam and was really impressed by the depth, builds, and freedom it offers. Then I saw Path of Exile 2 and it looks even more amazing — the visuals, animations, and polish are next level. I haven’t played PoE 1 yet, but I’m thinking of starting it anyway so I can learn the mechanics, systems, and builds properly before diving into PoE 2. Feels like it’ll make the second game even more enjoyable.

It doesn't neccesarily transfer very well. Some basics are the same and the concept is similar but the playstyle is different. I'd say, pick the one that you think you'll enjoy most. PoE1 is too different, you don't need (or should) play it to get ready for PoE2
