Does Chayula Darkness absorb honor loss with Last Flame relic in Sekhemas? (0.2.0 says no)

Patch 0.2.0: "Honour lost during the Trial of the Sekhemas is now taken before the Acolyte of Chayula's Darkness."

My Shield Wall Monk + Darkness does normal runs fine (no loss), but does it work for Last Flame (max honor=1)? Commenters claim yes post-0.4, but no proofs.

Can't test (relic pricey). Videos/tests? Expected: No—first hit deducts honor pre-absorb.
