Ancestral Cry won't charge Glory

Good Afternoon GGG,

I've seen this twice and was able to confirm the behavior and workaround. I am playing demon bear form with fury of the king. I typically charge ancestral cry and pop it with furious roar. When I descend into an abyssal depth ancestral cry will not charge glory. The first time I experienced this I nearly cleared it before noticing. For comparison my walking calamity was working just fine. While reviewing my character to try and figure out what was going on I removed ancestral cry from furious roar and then placed it back in. I started generating glory instantly. The next map I identified the same behavior sooner and replaced the skill gem same as before and it started generating glory again.
