I got falsely banned for trade automation while playing in a private league
|
Hey, im vay.
I am desperate for help over this injustice, please hear me out. My account vay1337#2840 was banned while I was offline and asleep recently, and after wasting my only shot to have an appeal on a short inquiry message, it is now a permanent and "final" ban. At first I thought it was for RMT related reasons, because I give away my items to random people or friends when I quit the league. Maybe someone sold an item I gave them out of good will? I also considered it could be a botting thing, because I play via mobile internet, which causes me to have different IP-Adresses every day. This has caused me to receive dozens of "your account has been locked, use this code to unlock" emails. After messaging support several times, all I was met with was "your appeal was already denied, nothing we can do". Then I found out I can export all data GGG have about me, which I thought could give me some insight on why I was actually banned. Turns out it was trade automation! Now this is very confusing to me, because I quit actively playing Softcore Keepers around the end of November and gave all my rare/valuable items away to others. On the 9th of January, my guild started a new private league that I have been actively playing in ever since. In this private league, we exchange items freely without a need for currency payments. Merchant tab trades cost 1 wisdom scroll, you get the point. Sometimes we talk about those trades in the global chat we use (the chat number of which I will happily disclose to GGG), other times we talk on discord, about who leaves what item in guild stash for someone else to pick up. This private league has less than 20 players, all of whom communicate with eachother over trades. And seeing how my only recent trade in Keepers League was a Jewel that sold via a merchant tab while I was playing in the private league, and how I haven't actually played in Keepers League since the end of November, I can only conclude that I got banned for trade automation for things that happened in a private league? Where all of us give eachother things for free? I do not use any automated trading tools, and never have. I also do not use any tools to ping the trade website to snipe items faster than other people. I only use awakened poe trade and wealthy exile/tft bulk selling tool. (And occasionally the trade website live search feature) My only chance to contact the account investigation team has been used, which is why I'm writing this lengthy forum post. I really don't understand how I could've possibly been banned for this. Please help me. Last edited by vayyyylmao#8324 on Jan 20, 2026, 6:06:35 AM Last bumped on Jan 21, 2026, 10:18:57 AM

Hey Cory,
I've tried to talk to the support via email, they refuse to hear me out. |

" " I am not personally familiar with either of the two, but using a "bulk selling" tool and then catching an account ban for "trade automation" can surely only be so surprising? " In the games industry it is common for anti-cheat teams to be multiple months behind. They're invariably under-resourced compared to those they are seeking to combat. Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.

Wealthy Exile is a website to monitor your income by compiling the price of all the items in your stash. This is to check metrics like div per hour from the farming strategies you are running.
Both Wealthy Exile and TFT have a bulk selling tool that you can use to sell your scarab tab for example. You can then list the entire tab on a website, after which people DM you ingame to buy the scarabs, you give them the scarabs in your hideout, they give you the currency. The TFT tool gives you a little graphic of all the scarabs in your tab and a little "Want to Sell ..." message to post in their discord. Here, too, people DM you, come to your hideout, and buy the scarabs from you in exchange for currency. In both cases it's the player putting in the scarabs into the trade window by clicking, no automation. Neither of these two are automated trading. Both of these tools are used publicly and advertised by content creators and players alike. Last edited by vayyyylmao#8324 on Jan 20, 2026, 7:50:22 AM
