Spectres... hellooooooo?
|
Why the fuck did my spectres die and randomly respawn as some other monsters not in my pool or on the map at the time or even THE ONES I ALREADY HAD SUMMONED? Why is this game so fucking jank sometimes?
Edit: Now I've lost my perfect forest warrior in the pool as well? Also.. WTF is a Ralakesh's Horn (minion/corpse) I can't search for it on the wiki Edit 2: Ohh.. the Ralakesh's Horn is one of those archer humanoids that wears of dear pelt with antlers for a helm. Fucking weird because I've literally never raised one of them so why the fuck is it in my spectre pool when using desecrate from my hideout? Sounds like you have Raise Spectre on your hotbar and clicked it. Big mistake
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

I can see how that would be an issue, but it still doesn't really explain why monters that I have never raised showed up in my pool, does it? The new spectres taht were summoned weren't even on the map at the time. Not to mention losing a corpse that I obtained from ritual. A perfect forest warrior *shrug*

So we're expected to read some guide on "how to avoid losing your spectres" because qol on a skill gem that is years old is never coming? I'm just thinking of a hunter in WOW and how there was a legit stable of pets that you could access. Maybe that's asking too much, but is it not literally the same situation? Why would there be a risk to losing spectres when swapping gear... WTF is that about? Or using quality currency on the item that holds the spectre gem... REALLY????
This is an actual joke of a situation for a skill gem this old. Why can't I just pick this game up and play it without reading all sorts of 3rd party literature in order to determine if my choices will work or not. Last edited by Durf#2997 on Jan 21, 2026, 6:14:38 AM

GGG really needs to just import the PoE2 version of spectres, where the specific reanimated enemy is bound to the gem until you go out of your way to replace it.
Until then, it's honestly not worth the hassle of dealing with the jank... just play a different minion skill instead. Especially when every single person currently playing spectres is telling GGG that there isn't a problem here worth spending dev time fixing. |
