ERROR BOW IMPLICIT
|
Hello. After patch 0.4, a critical bug appeared in my bow. The Gemini bow should always have a 50% chance of firing an extra arrow. Something went wrong during the patch; my bow only has a 1% chance of firing an extra arrow. I can't change this and I'm not responsible for this. I put my heart and soul into your game, and my items are very important to me. I play them in the standard league, and right now, my dream bow is taking away my enjoyment of the game due to a bug.
I'm asking your team for help and to fix the bug so that this bow has a 50% chance of firing an extra arrow, which is the change you made. I'm sending a picture showing the problem. If you need more information, I'll send you everything you need. I'm begging for your help. Last bumped on Feb 1, 2026, 11:58:25 AM

This appears to have been the result for all legacy Dualstring, Twin, and Gemini bows stashed from past leagues. As you mention, this was changed related to patch 0.4.0.
What has tended to happen in POE1 when an implicit is changed is that the prior item's implicit is replaced with the lowest value of the new implicit range. However, in this case the new implicit is a fixed value (50%) and thus looks like this may have been unintended. Whether they will address the issue or not is another question, as it will only affect legacy items obtained during Early Access. I haven't tested doing so, but in the event it was worth it to you to restore the 50% implicit for your Gemini bow, you should be able to re-roll the implicit by using a Divine Orb -- * see caveat below *. You will have to decide if it is worth spending the currency to correct your bow. Perhaps they might apply a fix, but you don't know if or when that might happen. Keep in mind that by default this would also re-roll the explicit affixes on the bow. This might make the item worse and may lose other legacy modifier ranges that could have been changed. You could prevent re-rolling the other affixes by also activating an Omen of the Blessed ahead of divining the bow. I have not tested this, either, to know for certain that it won't impact other legacy affixes. I am linking your prior thread and this thread to include other player comments for the same issue. It was confirmed to be functioning as a 1% modifier and not just textual. __ As an aside: In POE1, I still have a collection of legacy Penetrating Arrow Quivers that no longer have any implicit at all. | |
" Firstly, this game is all about acquiring powerful items, and that's the essence and main goal. Therefore, GGG support regarding bugged items should be a priority or at a very high level. It doesn't matter that it's a Standard league. I'm a player who polishes my characters and plays Standard, and I always return to that league. There can't be a situation where we can't enjoy our best items in a game like this because of bugs. Therefore, if support doesn't do anything about it, I don't see the point in wasting my precious time acquiring items that I can't use properly later. It's killing my motivation to play this game. I've been waiting a long time for this item to be fixed, and I don't even know if I'll get a chance. Secondly, my bow is "mirrored." I can't use a divine orb or anything else on it. So GGG support should take these cases into account, and they should be the ones to implement the fix. It's not the player's fault. What is the point of acquiring the most powerful items in a game where we have no guarantee that the developers will fix their errors and bugs related to them? |
