50% gold refund for cancelling faustus

there should be a discount if u have a bulk sell or buy. alot of times i put it at best price then some a*hole hacker comes in with thousands of that same item just 0.1% lower price than me, and i have to cancel and lose massive gold. these people are hackers there's no way they can get many thousands of scarabs worth well over 1d each, hundreds of thousands of chromes/fusing etc, in 1-2 days, i dont know why they arent banned.

The A hole is still going to under sell you!!
This is why I don't even try to get a profitable price on Faustus.

If I'm selling an item, I sell for exactly the price he tells me so that it is instant.

If I'm buying scarabs/whatever, I buy em at the price he tells me so that it is instant.

And I've never had any worries or problems while doing it this way. I may be losing potential currency on sales/buying for high prices and self-scamming but at least its all instant and I don't have to think about competing with random flippers and bots on the market.

I've had enough of Auction House.exe while playing WoW lmfao

Except you don't. You CHOOSE to cancel. Because you have no patience.

Meanwhile I always price everything I sell at about 10% more value than faustus' best....and everything sells just fine. Not immediately, but fairly quick. Longest I've ever had to wait was a day.

Toffy actually did a good job explaining it: you get out what you put in. If you DON'T have patience, don't expect the best profits, and don't put yourself in a situation to get enraged.

If you DO have patience then this entire problem disappears.

If I had it my way, here's how it would work:

Any owned market tab can be set as a bulk tab. You set its price, and the buyer pays the marked price for everything inside the tab and pays the gold value of the price set according to currency exchange rules.

As the seller, the full tab locks against both placement and withdrawal for 60 seconds whenever somebody enters your hideout on a market call to that bulk tab so long as the buyer remains inside of your hideout, or for 15 seconds after they have left.

On the market search, have a separate bulk tabs search function, where you can input what kind of items you are looking for sort-of similar to the website exchange set, letting you highlight as many different types of items as you want with as much or as little detail filtering as the trade API can apply. Results sortable by total price, price per unit of a specific item, and quantity of a specific item.

The way I would use it: as a seller I would definitely set up a bunch of bulk tabs for different kinds of random junk and just keep throwing things in until somebody comes and buys it; and as a buyer, I would definitely be looking for map packs, jewel packs, scarab packs, dust packs, etc.

The back end on it will take some work, but I would propose implementing something like that should be a medium to high priority for both games since it offers an in-game alternative to TFT for bulk trading. Not that I have anything against TFT, its a fantastic community service and I hope they carry on strong as long as PoE exists; but for newer players who have no reason to know they should even look for something like TFT, it would be good to have at least comparable commerce capacity built in.

My two cents on it, FWIW

Edit: on further reading I may have in my been-awake-too-long state misinterpreted the OP, but its at least a tangentially related idea that I've been batting around in me noggin. RE the OP, I'd be okay with the ability to change your asking price on an existing order for something like 1/3 of the original gold escrow, so long as theres enough of a cooldown on it that you don't feel obliged to sit on your orders nonstop like you do in warcraft auctioning.

[Removed by Support]

these [Removed by Support] are hackers, they first sells many hundreds of scarabs then come back 1 day later with even more, then again and again. they are hackers. i can tell they're the same person because the amount is the same, and they always do it 1% lower than my price. they never cancel because me and other sellers sell an insignificant amount compared to them, if we cancel and put price lower than them our orders sell fast, but their orders are 100x our size.

there's no way anyone can farm these many this fast. these scums are botters running a botnet, or somehow made the maps break and drop things like crazy. why is GGG not doing anything about these hackers.

read my previous reply. these scums have sells 100x my size, they can easily wait, i can't because as soon as their orders sell they come back to add more before i sell, so i must cancel.
there's needs to be a 50% gold refund for cancelling, to lessen the pain of dealing with these malicious scumbag hackers.

Oh I read it....and that doesn't happen. At least not noticeably regular to be considered a real problem. I make a LOT of sales, and they are generally small stacks of very popular scarabs, lifeforce, etc. But occasionally there are very large stacks in there costing 100s of thousands of gold. Not once has what you described ever happened to me. And as mentioned, I specifically price my items HIGHER in my favor than Faustus' worst exchange.

Either you are describing the problem wrong, you are doing something wrong, or you simply are NOT waiting beyond like 5 minutes.

From the tone of your posts here.....I'm leaning towards impatience being the biggest contributor to your woes.
