Hello, I'm wondering why this window hasn't been implemented in POE1. It would make management easier.

I wouldn't like this change because it seperates gems from gear.
I would no longer be putting the gems on my character but instead would put them inside a detached window and any gameplay/rp element that gets replaced with a menu or a dropdown is just bad especially when it doesn't come with any QoL. |

Unlike PoE2, gem sockets are not tied to the active gem itself but to the gear they are being socketed into. The PoE2 system would be a lot less intuitive than the current system in PoE1
