latest mac os version crashes

After installation, I ran the program and it worked without problems. Once I re-ran it, the application crashes. Repeatedly.

but...

when I open Finder and drill down to "application support" -> PoE -> PoE.app -> MacOS and "open with" PoE.app with "Terminal" and it works fine...

I'm not complaining, I'm just not sure why the app fails running it in the typical fashion...

Anyone else had this issue?
