Maps should be more readable (if you want players not to look at minimap all the time)

I've heard multiple times in interviews that you don't want players to look at minimap all the time. But in such case you should start making locations more readable. Currently some maps are borderline unplayable without minimap. Everybody playing with map overlay cause otherwise it feels like you're stumbling around blindly. Ultimately people love predictable layouts and recognizable shapes when it comes to locations.

Walkable spaces should be OBVIOUS from a quick glance. There should never be even a slightest hesitation or wondering if I could walk there or not.

Cut all the dead ends. Some maps (seepage, trenches, mineshaft, ice cave, forge, marrow and probably some more I can't remember right now) are too deadendy. It feels like crap.

Smooth out all the weird nooks and crannies where characters get stuck.

Make jugs and similar objects walkable. Or more like breakable by walking through them. Necropolis, crypt and other graveyard/tomb-ish maps are notorious for those freaking jugs you're constantly getting stuck in.

Flotsam is too dark. Digsite is too messy. Molten Vault has too many doors and rooms. Sun Temple is just a pain in the ass from start to finish.

I know it's a long shot, but maybe let us zoom out at least a little bit more so we could orient without a map better. Even 10% will be greatly appreciated. It feels claustrophobic when you look at the screen, especially considering the fact that some mobs will fire or jump at you from beyond the screen.

I'd like to play without a minimap. It does feel good when everything goes smooth. More gamey and less grindy. The problem is that it doesn't go smooth for long. Very soon you start stumbling and then just say "fuck it" and run through overlay again barely noticing the background.
The way campaign should be played by your second and any subsequent characters: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3772827
