Unable to cast SNAP or ICE NOVA on FROST BOLTS fired from SPELL TOTEM

I am working on a build that fire a significant number of Frost Bolts from my Spell Totem socketed with Splintering Totem.

In theory, I should be able to use Snap or Ice Nova on the Frost Bolts to cause an explosion, but this does not work.

Please fix this as soon as possible. I have tried numerous times with 10+ projectiles on the screen spamming Snap and Ice Nova without success.
