PoE1 Controller Issue

I cannot pick up loot if the item's icon is too far away from the actual position where the item was dropped.

Example:


If I'm right above the GCP in question, and press X, I'm unable to pick it up because the item is at the border of the screen on top.

Why not make the character walk to the item like when using keyboard+mouse?
