Poe2 couch co-op trial of sekkhamas bug

My wife and I were doing our 3rd ascendancy on Poe2 in the trial of sekkhamas and the first time we got all the way to the scorpion and when he was almost dead he did a tail swipe and my wife was out of the way but it looked like the dust hit her and then her character just acted like it died and fell to the ground but she still had full life and we still had like half of our honour left. We also had the boon that when you go past almost 75% of your life restore 25% of maximum life honour and defences. And we couldn't do anything. We had to exit the trial and when we did it again we were dodging through a trap and her character did the exact same animation and just acted like she died but with still full life, energy shield and honour. It is making it impossible to do the trial. Both times we had an affliction that gave us no armour. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
