Bugged temple room with Rites of Passage primate minions

I was running the temple with three Rites of Passage charms active. The Rite of Passage – Primates triggered after killing a rare, spawning primates in the room.

Since my inventory was full, I teleported out of the temple to my chest to clear space.

After sorting my inventory, I returned to the temple using my teleporter. When I re-entered the room, the primates were still present, but all other monsters were gone. Because of this, I was unable to proceed to either the previous or next room.

I can teleport back to the temple’s main room, but if I use the large red portal and run back to the primate room, the door closes upon entry, leaving me stuck again.
