WTH is this????

I created a new character. On beach I switched from DirectX 12 to Vulkan and game never loaded, just spinning gears. I had to close the process from Task Manager, and when I logged back in, this message appeared! Why would you assume I used cheats?

Unfortunately this is not something we can assist with via the forums, if you have not done so already, please contact us at support@grindinggear.com so we can look into this for you.
GGG won't give any information period because they don't want to tip off anyone who is running multiple cheats about which was detected.

The only things I'm aware of that could trigger a quasi-false positive are things like reshade or ultrawide screen hack that inject code into the running game (any modification is against the TOS even if not a cheat and they use the same approach to do so as actual cheats).

Macro's that either automate a key press or do multiple server actions from a single keypress aren't allowed. Nor is binding an input to a free spinning (non-clicky) type scroll wheel's up/down event. Other than rate limiting hitting people doing stuff with the scroll wheel though enforcement on these is mostly limited to people who publicly admit while streaming due to the difficulty of detection.

Switching from DX12 to Vulcan almost certainly was a coincidence. GGG doesn't immediately warn/ban for most cheating detentions; again this is to make it harder for actual cheaters to know what they were caught doing even if it also does make figuring out what may have caused a false positive more difficult.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

The only thing I could think of, is Sidekick running in background. I don't have anything else that could be detected! I did get back into the game! :)

That shouldn't be an issue. Sidekick's just the POE2 fork of Advanced POE trade, and only gets data from the game via the copy function.
