I really don't want to see temple back in the next league

I love PoE1. I love PoE2.
The thought of having to play temple again makes me feel a lot less excited about PoE2 which I very much enjoy. Except that temple. There's no rewards that can balance out how bad it is to play it and how out of place it feels in the vision of PoE2 you put forward. Last bumped on Feb 18, 2026, 3:53:59 PM

They even added an mtx temple tracker to the game. Incursion is core. Mash the clean

I kinda like it, just too overtuned atm and feel like a "must go" because of all the currencies and XP you get in there.
I think the items/materials related to temple arent as important as other mechanic like rituals or abyss so you can skip it when it's gonna be core without missing much. I hope they keep it but it need to be balanced a lot. With time we'll get a lot of mechanics probably and we wont be abble to do them all anyway. SSF player

Temple feels mandatory because it's more rewarding than mapping.
Even in ssf, where there's no economy - nothing really beats the temple in terms of xp or loot. No one likes to have content feel like it's "forced" on them, even if it's fun content. I am personally pretty sick of killing Vaal mobs. Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.

i think i did 5 temple runs total
i just didn't find it fun - way too many steps - i just want to kill mobs, not play around in a convoluted thing with tiles we're playing a game for christ's sake. |
