Changes Need to be done

POE 2 is a great game but some problems need to be addressed.

Visual Clarity depending on the build can be awful, please either make an opacity like meter or sell gem effects with little to no visual effects
(for example I stopped playing BEAR Druid because with the fissures nobody could see a thing.

For Seasonal players introducing a short version of the campaign or a map like mechanic for leveling as an alternative to playing the original campaign.

For crafting I would like to be a little more deterministic.

For mapping a good idea would be an indicator from one citadel to the nearest

1. clarity is bad yes, agree. biggest offender is abyss mob lifesteal aura
2. i would love a skip campaign option; however, i do think this should be locked for the first character of each league. alts should be allowed a skip here.
3. bringing back homo regals would be great. homo exalt was entirely way too strong (albeit i loved it lol)
4. mapping system should be scrapped. i would rather not have to drag around a terrible looking map, and just have the ability to choose which types of maps i want to farm (e.g. biome/corruption vs non with a % chance to get a citadel instead of what you chose or something).

end game is in a really bad place - it's either do the new league mechanic or quit early because the league mechanic is significantly more profitable than mapping. feels super bad :/
1. Clarity is definitely awful. I would honestly prefer speed scaling nerfs with damage increases so the same damage can be done with fewer animations/effects.

2. I don't think a skip option is needed; the campaign is actually enjoyable and great for giving you time to mechanically figure out how your build works.

3. I really don't care for the crafting system in general. Last Epoch really nailed their crafting system in my opinion - a deterministic component-based system. It would be cool to farm bosses for specific components, certain monster types dropping specific components, certain biomes containing specific components, etc. and could be a good way to tie in multiple systems that already exist.

4. Also agree that the current mapping system should be scrapped. There's too much clutter and most of what you see is irrelevant information; maps you've already cleared. Citadels should just be tied into progression on the Atlas passive tree. You should just pick a biome and then put a waystones and tablets into it, then it generates a random map for that biome. Then on the Atlas passive tree you can modify the biome to your playstyle or whatever you're trying to accomplish.

Endgame in general needs work! I don't know why they don't just remove Item Rarity from items and put it in the Atlas passive tree as a progression system.

My biggest change:

There needs to be a huge rebalance pass or overhaul of skill gems; majority of skills in the game are really clunky and/or straight up unplayable compared to a select few that see play every league.
agree on all points.

campaign is entirely too long, shouldn't need to do the whole damn thing on alt 1,2,3 in a league.

ascendancies also need to be untied from trials and temple. absolutely garbage system.
I think a campaign skip, if it were to ever exist in this game, could not exist in the way most people are asking for it because everything I've seen as a suggestion kind of undermines the traditional leveling experience or is just something that's just automatically "better".

If it were to be implemented - it would be in some sort of pseudo-random experience where you might get to pick the class but you're going to be facing something way more difficult than the campaign - and specifically more heavily RNG-influenced.

There would need to be some sort of risk to the character itself in that you might not keep the character - perhaps you need to make a decision during or at the end of this alternative "campaign" process about whether you want to keep the loot you acquired along the way OR your character. There could even be aspects of not being able to fully pick your own skill points or even skills - you'd have to treat it as some sort of gauntlet trial where at the end you decide if the character is worth keeping to respec or if you just want the loot. Maybe it's like HC with perma-death too where if you die, you lose it all and get nothing.

Whatever it would be, I wouldn't expect something resembling a skip to be implemented in a "fair" way. It could be implemented "fairly" from the perspective of someone who just wanted to grind some loot without leveling or keeping a character I suppose, because in that way it's just a tradeoff of xp/time for loot with a risk of nothing if they die, so maybe it should have an entry "fee" of a few chaos or exalts or something to an NPC to enter in that case just to make sure there's something on the line.

They'd need to make it a gamble somehow - something that could present an alternative for players with established characters, but not something that would automatically or even necessarily supersede the traditional campaign experience for them all of the time.

Tough line to walk, I admit.
Eh,
Since I came from D3/D4, I really craved for a campain skip at the early seasons.
But after some time, its just how the game is, just add it to the "vision".
Does not bother me tho, its kind of a challenge that I learned to like.
The first char of a league struggling to kill any boss, the second onward learning new ways to speedrun every act.
