Vaal Temple - Medallion can be lost while building temple

My current input method is controller. I'm sure M&K will have the same issue but I haven't confirmed.

If you select a medallion to place on your temple but press the button to back out of the temple designer without placing it, the medallion is lost. While I'm unsure if this is intentional, it seems like it should place itself back in your medallion slots.

I had selected a medallion and decided not to place it yet but in trying to place it back, I backed out of the designer accidentally and the medallion was completely lost.

I feel this shouldn't happen.

Sure you not accidently clicked it?
I back out often and never lost my medailion
