Some of my characters got delete

its been a little over a year since i last logged into poe 1, and when i did, i found that several of my characters (5 approximalety) from the standard league had disappeared.I would like to know if this happened for any specific reason, because as far as i remember, i did not delete any character. i look forward to your response or any steps o should follow. Regards
