Cast on hit+Detonate dead+Armour breaker=0 explosions

Hi,

I use cast on hit with detonate dead and i hit with armour breaker (tried resonance shield aswell but i'm not sure if those count as hits).

I get 0 explosions when i use resonance shield, is that intended?

I get 0 explosions when i use armour breaker to hit. What is wrong?

I have cast on hit on both weapon set 1 and 2.

Support for Armour breaker is:mana leech+uruk's smelting+quill burst+barbs 2+rapid attacks

Support for cast on hit is: detonate dead+boundless energy+magnified area 2+heft

I also use Attrition and Scavenged plating+thornskin 2+prolonged duration+physical mastery.

I've looked at other builds and the explosions seems to be really clearly visible. But i get none.
