Crossbow aiming down at the floor sometimes

With some small enemies and in at leat 1 room of the temple I notice the crossbow fires down with permafrost bolts, preventing the cone of shards hitting enemies behind or further away and making the skill feel awful when it happens.

I notice it in the temple Barracks room, possibly because of the stairs with lower corner areas and raised centre, it will regularly just aim at an enemies feet.

I think a few small insect enemies cause a similar effect, when they get close to me the bolts won't fire in a cone instead seeming to only hit the one single enemy in my face.
