Corrupting cry suppoert should be its own warcry skill

So I've been playing a corrupting cry warbringer on standard for a while and the biggest problem I've run into is that the damage of corrupting cry is good for mapping up to tier 15 but 16 and Ubers have such inflated health pools that the 20k to 30k dps I'm doing to them is miniscule. the iron ward skill helps some but its a crutch i find not to useful in most end game boss fights. I run out of sustain long before the boss even gets to second phase in some cases.
The support gem should not be buffed because i see the corrupting cry support gems as a missed opportunity to make a interesting skill, also if its a skill it can be adjusted to feel more in line with other damaging skills that it would be used alongside. The biggest problem is the strength scaling is 25% which is fine up to act 3 and early act 4 but it just gets more and more difficult to squeeze out any more damage. Also it hurts to see a better base damage version staring at me. If i could put support gems on unique shield (Bloodboil) i would, but that would be broken even i can tell that at a glance. I would say that if made into a skill gem the scaling should start at 20% str for gem level 1 adding 1% str per level up to 40 at gem level 20. The quality could be area of effect increase or faster damage over time.
I hope some change comes from this cause its just such a fun playstyle to me and it just feels wrong that something with this much potential is left to the side. Also a little gripe i have is it feel wrong to have 800 Strength and have a your main damage scale off that, only to end up with sub par damage for end game bosses.
