Several videos about ground loot lately

They have touched on a point I've been saying for years. Even making a post or two about it I do believe. It would be nice if there was an Atlas Passive option to not only turn off specific content, but to have that go towards increased loot drops from monsters. Not just drops in general, but specifically gear with increased chances of the affix tiers to be higher based on the map level and item level etc. It feels so bad to find gear in red maps that's as bad as or even worse than what you find pre mapping simply because the nature of rolls are so random and varied in range. It's really nice to have player agency so that we can pick the content we desire, but when much of the content is just another way of gaining the same rewards that isn't coming from monster drops it just doesn't feel like an ARPG.

Redefining the ARPG genre is fine, but completely gutting the experience by making the killing of monsters feel almost arbitrary is something different all together. Never did I think Kingsmarch going core was a good idea. It was well designed for a league and functioned equally as well, but does something that is so easy to gain currency/gear with that doesn't require killing of monsters, really good for the game? Maybe it could just be a sort of end game quest hub that helps us unlock some other mapping features? Rather than a requirement in order to compete with everyone else in the currency race.

Maybe you could bring back sentinel in a more engaging way than it's currently implemented. Maybe through the use of the sentinels we can improve the drop rates of the gear we actually seek? I guess that just makes target farming specific mobs a thing as well and nobody wants that?

Who knows.. this game is so overly complicated and convoluted that nobody really knows what works and what doesn't. Proven by the fact that certain people think they've tested new mechanics enough and in the end it's a community streamer that knows better and is proven correct in the end. *shrug*

The game is absolutely convoluted, for better or worse. The convolution brings both positives and negatives, though. And while I absolutely think that ground loot should be improved, the fix isn't as straightforward as people seem to think, because the game is more or less built around specializing in certain content. That said, I think that the content you don't have to specialize in (invest into) is what's holding ground loot back.

There are tons of strategies; Essence farming, Harvest farming, Strongbox farming, Harbinger farming... I could go on. What all of those strategies have in common, is that they require investment in form of scarabs. You need to specialize. You need a plan. A strategy...

...In comes Kingsmarch, giving you tons of currency and rewards - just by playing the game. No need to invest into your mapping. No need for scarabs or specialized atlas trees. Just gold, which you get plenty of from regular mapping. When high-income mechanics like that gets added, it goes without saying that ground loot has to be more "controlled".

Why they KEEP nerfing ground loot, time after time, league after league, just to 'move' that loot away from the ground/maps is beyond me. I REALLY struggle to understand the reasoning. Is it their way of controlling the scaling? Their way of limiting the ultra-juicers?

---

In addition to Essences, Harvest, Harbingers, Strongboxes or whatever, what is so damn hard of making a few strategies where you spend an equal amount of scarabs getting an equal amount of income - just in form of ground loot?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
all i want is to kill monsters to get stuff man every menu loot thing is secondary
Remove (One attempt only mechanics) in this game full of lag spikes, one shots and random disconnects.

2FA and register phone number PLEASE!
All of those half-baked nerfs, content deletions, and changes finally catching up to GGG.
Pointless to give triple-A game companies any sort of constructive criticism without getting put on probation (or banned). GGG's downfall is drawing near.

Ok but why can't they cull the non-currency loot by like say 1000%, there is so much useless trash dropping flooding the screen and making computers lag and freeze. That doesn't seem that hard to do ?! Cull all the garbage white/blue/yellow items by an insane amount so that players would see around the same amount of items on the floor as in Diablo 2, and boost the modifiers on yellow items. Then the importance of ground loot and rares would be much much higher.

There, system fixed ?

(And along with all that obviously, remove/rework the genesis tree, remove/rework kingsmarch.)
Affliction, Necropolis and now Keepers are the worst leagues ever. Loot-shower fest, chase uniques too available, stacked decks and valdo boxes are a flawed design, and now the genesis tree handing out overpowered items hence invalidating several farms and crafting avenues.
Several videos about ground loot lately

Isn't that interesting, so many...........

"Grand Conspiracy" refers to a highly expansive, long-term, and often fantastical theory suggesting a massive, coordinated plot by a shadowy, powerful group to control events.

I think that fits, all the crying , oh I have to do Kingsmarch or I lose out on rewards...............

I suggest you use those mirror shards and divines to get some good gear, instead of all the crying about what someone else is doing. Play the game, stop crying.

There's no grand conspiracy and people aren't crying about what others are doing.

People just want to [kill monsters-> get loot in maps], not [kill monsters-> go do X chore-> get loot outside of maps]. I find that a very reasonable wish in an ARPG.

Why are you so hellbent on what other people want? Would making maps drop more loot hurt you in any way?

Easy solution, don't invest millions in gold to hire workers in Kingsmarch. It's not something you have to do.

You have to invest your time and gold, getting workers set up. Takes 4.5 million gold so farmers can farm 24/7 for 10 days to get enough crops for ONE 50 million shipment. Then you hope to get 1-5 mirror shards, sometimes you dont get any.

Have you played Kingsmarch to understand how it all works?

As far as loot in maps, I get tons of loot so I have no clue what all the crying is about no loot in maps. Are you doing 8 mod corrups, with Deli and scarabs to juice the monsters?

Saying no loot in maps is false.

Go look at youtube, all the same streamers crying now about Kingsmarch. They have past videos dropping 50, 100 divines a map. Where was all the crying about that?
