Performance is worse every league. New assets look good, but are unoptimized?

Performance seems to get worse every league. There has been a push to update mobs/leagues to newer better looking poe2 style mobs. This usually comes with less density for mechanic like beyond and breach which is a bit of a bummer to lose density. If it improves performance I can get on board with it, however that hasn't been the case. Harbinger is currently causing a good amount of performance loss, I expect when it returns it will also take a mob density nerf, but please also make sure these new models also perform well in juiced content.

The memory portal for example looks really cool. Spikey white ball with threads waving around, however this thing spins up my fans and heats my room up when I open it. Then it just sits there at my map device still heating everything around it like a mini sun until I put in another non memory linked map to get rid of it. That is just a static object the portal, not even a mob that's running around doing things and it tanks performance.

A lot of us don't mind the older looking assets, as long as the mechanics remain fun that's mostly what matters. When you juice these maps up and it becomes a slideshow that makes it unfun.

i think the main issue is GGG developers trying to keep poe up to date, meaning the game running well and looking good on up to date systems, those are their so called "performance improvements" at the bottom of every leagues patchnotes...
but the average player buys a gaming pc once and then uses it for a couple of years before upgrading or outright buying a new one, so for us it feels like performance becomes worse every league because it does, the game advances to better systems league by league while our systems stay the same most of the time...
and yes, especially the newer light and dust effects are ridiculously intense on the system, every "ground effects look better now" patchnote just means "ground effects will drain more fps now"...

which is really a bad thing in current times when everyone is broke anyways plus stupid AI data centers make RAM and GPU prices skyrocket, no one can afford to upgrade their pc for the next few years...
