Bear Trap of Skewers Needs Love

This gem is literally useless no one uses, there is not a single guide or build using it, can the devs please check it out and buff some numbers on it :)

I have tried it in Phrecia

Aristocrat: +gem levels, +quality branch (+1 level, +20% quality)
Crest of Desire (+8 levels, +48 quality)
Two Woespike rings (25% duration reduction, 50% in total)
Ashes of the Stars (+1 level, +28% quality)

IIRC i had ~750% impale effect and ~700K hit with reasonable gear

the gameplay loop was awful: you applied 'big' impale (slams hit harder..) and procced it as quickly as possible with any other fast hitting MELEE skill (cyclone or whatever - the fastest hitting you can find)

The Woespike rings are broken OP (and pretty much noone noticed. GGG nerfed them for 3.28, nerfed to the ground) as they let you apply your highest Impale for the entire impale duration, not 'consuming it' - and with the likes of Vaal Ground Slam crit you could get a VERY strong impales on demand


After removal of Woespike tech, Bear Trap of Skewers has no use. oh and it never had ANY clear potential so you had to use dedicated 6link for that
