Marshall of Divinity and Hallow Support
|
Hi,
I think that the Hallowing Flame debuff needs to be reworked or have some minor changes to the damage as extra interaction. It could even work if it was a charged debuff that stayed on the enemy for a duration rather than being consumed on hit. The issue being that most minions are weenies and no one weenie hits that hard on it's own. The skill seems to synergize exceptionally well with Summon Holy Relic or a single heavy hitting minion, which is almost a non-starter for the skill or build path because that build archetype is not reflected in the player base build path. It seems like a really cool build concept but does not seem to prompt new playstyles nor does it synergize with existing play styles. It would be cool if the Marshall of Divinity Skill was similar to the Assassin's "Assasination Style" notable. Make it so you can flip the ascendancy node to have one option or the other. Option 1 - is that you the character get a damage steroid for each hallowing flame that has been removed recently. Option 2 - your minions get a damage steroid that stacks up to 4 to 10 times at 1%-2% damage as extra for each hallowing flame that has been removed from a nearby enemy in the past 4 seconds (recently). Or something like that. Current issue is that most guardian playstyles that are attack based are dominating blow with smite, which could work with this ascendancy and support. However, there is a lot of anti synergy going on, which discourages me from wanting to play the skill. The current version of this skill is really bad with minion armies (similar to the reason why "Ravenous Horde" notable passive looks cool but is awful because only 1 minion in the entire army can get onslaught - hallowing flame being removed on hit functions the same way that only 1 minion can achieve a killing blow, which leaves every other minion unsupported). The "zoomancer" or minion horde playstyle is the standard pathway of how to play this ascendancy. Maybe I am missing something here - it seems like a cool support ans ascendancy point. I want to be able to use the cool skill with the current build archetype AND have it open new build archetypes. However, it is currently lacking the versatility that it needs to not be dead on arrival. Using it with holy relic or holy relic of conviction as an attack cast on hit build IS cool as a concept, but that's really only one build and that one build is fairly niche for an entire ascendancy point...
