Looking for survivable solo Scion build

I can't really decide wether to make her an Archer, Shield + Sword, dualwield, or shield + wand. I got some basic AoE skill gems from my first playthrough, so I can cover single target and AoE damage.
The only thing I'm sure of is that I want to go DEX based. Wether pure, STR or INT on the side, not sure.
Which are the capstone passives I should go for?
I also want to be pretty survivable. (on Normal, perhaps second difficulty too.)
I'm at a total loss how to start mapping her out...

The best example I can think of: I want to play like a DII Javazon.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I think maybe Rain of Arrows would be great. I've always wanted to try something with Ice Shot though.
Can't tell you what I'd do in terms of damage mitigation though. Maybe CI, but I like EB + IR.
There's so many viable choices.

I got Rain of Arrows as a skill, though, so it might work. Is Iron Reflexes really that good?

If you are Scion, Spectral Throw is your starter-gem.

This build is built for an Ethereal Knives tank build. Will have INSANE survivability as well as decent solo dps.

This build can run arctic armor (huge boost to survivabilty) and when combined with the rapith globe unique shield (cheap to obtain), it will have 25% spell block, over 50% block chance, high armor and arctic armor.

I didn't know about Spectral Throw, still trudging through the game with my Templar.
I like the above build, actually. Pretty much all stats get some love, very defensive.
I do wonder: why the Endurance charge, but no Life Leech or Mana Leech? ST is physical damage, right?
Also, how do you increase the damage? I don't see any specific weapon nodes. ST only takes increased physical damage from specific weapons and not general physical damage, IIRC.
