What do you guys think? I know its common for people to only spend points to about 75-80. But basically, the path going towards the middle is the last area I go to, so more or less just cut off alot of that part if you want. |

In my experience, at least from the closed beta, bow rangers need a lot more life than that to survive on the harder difficulties. I tried a glass cannon kind of build and ended up just eating the pavement a lot. I'd suggest throwing in at least a half a dozen life nodes, if nothing else.

Toast
That is the only word that comes to my mind. You ignore any kind of defense mechanics in the passive tree--armor, evasion, resistances, life nodes. Such character will be useless from Act 3 normal difficulty. Cruel and Merciless is not an option. Not for solo and I have doubts it will work in parties either. It is bad build. Save yourself the frustration and check some popular threads around these forums for efficient builds. |

so more or less what i am hearing is that most builds need to focus a good amount in defense of some kind to survive the higher difficulties.

" Correct. You want to pick your defense mechanism early and focus on it--armor via Iron Reflexes, evasion via Acrobatics/Phase Acrobatics and Arrow Dodging, etc. You also want to get anywhere between 75% to 120% HP nodes. Obviously it is unlikely you will ever have too much health so feel free to add as much as you want. |
