Strength based archer. Why Ranger over duelist?

Alot of Ranger builds i see and one I personally am planning for is the Ranger that uses Blood magic, Iron grip and Iron reflexes. Just curious what the pros and cons are with going ranger over duelist in this type of build. Duelist seems in better position to snatch up strength nodes and only needs to branch out a bit to hit some bow nodes as well.

After playing with the passive tree I tracked points needed to hit just blood, IG and IR for both classes and its the same 25 pnts just about. So im just wondering what the drawbacks are to going one class over the other in this type of build.

Because getting bow-relevant stuff is more awkward for the duelist than getting the strength collection is for the ranger.

Or at least it seems that way; a more heavily strength oriented build would favor the duelist, but that seems more tanky and less shooty.
