" Do you have your resistances optimized for Wise Oak? i.e. is cold your lowest uncapped resist and lightning your highest? It can be tricky to get there, depending on your equipment. I think that flask is expendable for the fight if it's not providing both defensive and offensive value. Assuming it IS optimized, though, you could replace the granite flask with Rumi's Concoction or another life flask. I'm a n00b, so I use the second life flask, but if you're good enough at the fight you shouldn't need it with Soul of Ryslatha as your pantheon's minor god. Could also try a quartz flask... Guys stop blaming Enki for "unclear" gem setup. Its kinda hillarious to blame him for the amount of work he did on that guide.
Uber Elder is very viable with this Build, with only marginal/playstyle depentant changes. " your gear is just insane yesterday i tried uelder myself for the first time (multiple times) and failed miserably. have to say my gear, compared to yours, is garbage, but for me it worked really good until uelder. road to him was cake, t16 guardians were no problem at all. so i too am really interested what your dps is like. cause mine was waaaay to low. |

" Awesome--congrats!! Wonderful news, big milestone, and it should only get easier from here on out. I also coincidentally finally beat UE yesterday on my 9th try. Maybe I was just less stoned or whatever, but I did way better than my previous attempts. I'll post gear here later for other people's reference (on phone at work currently and actually have no idea how to link items yet). Hope our discussions helped you here. Definitely think your final setup was better suited to the fight than the initial one when we started talking about it. Of course, then I went on to fail my first cortex attempt later that night...sooo I guess I've got some more work to do. |

Please bear with me I know this is a newbie question.
Recently started playing on PS4 and I'm on Act 3 following the guide. In the levelling guide for Act 3 is says: ‣ Get Elemental Focus & Controlled Destruction in Act 2 and link them to Lightning Spire Trap Is this a separate skill from arc, so requiring another 3L or are they supposed to be linked in with arc in a 4L? Yes, the Lightning Spire trap is a separate setup and Ele Focus + Controlled Destruction (#2) are not supposed to be linked with Arc. (Also, if you followed the guide, at that point Arc should be linked with Added Lightning Damage + Controlled Destruction #1) If you're supposed to link a gem to something, the leveling guide would specifically tell you to "link gem A to gem B", and then later maybe "replace gem B with gem C" (so then you would have gems A+C linked). You should follow the leveling guide for now, but the final gem setups you're working towards are shown in the section "Gem Setup". They already give you a hint what it's supposed to look like in the end. Regarding the leveling guide up to that point (and shortly after):

Under Act 1 it tells you to craft the wand/sceptre and put Arc + Arcane Surge + Added Lightning Damage in it.
Under Act 2 it's said that you should replace that Arcane Surge with Controlled Destruction. So then you would have have Arc + Controlled Destruction + Added Lightning Damage linked. Under Act 3 it's said that you should get Lightning Spire Trap and then Elemental Focus & Controlled Destruction and link them to Lightning Spire Trap (notice there's no mention of linking them to Arc) Then, also under Act 3, a few lines after that it tells you to get Lightning Penetration & Energy Leech and replace Added Lightning Damage & Controlled Destruction with it. - This is a little bit misleading, I admit, since there are two Controlled Destructions now (#1 + #2). But since Added Lightning Damage is in the Arc-Setup, it's safe to assume that #1 (the one that is also in the Arc setup) is the Controlled Destruction that is meant to be replaced. Also, at this point, you could replace the Controlled Destruction #2 in the Lightning Spire Trap setup with the Controlled Destruction #1 that you just gained from the Arc setup, since it has a higher level. Hi, i'm new here.. i'm following this build but i have a question. I saw in your equip that damage taken support there is not. So why i have to pick it? i'm at the point to upgrade my wep with some daggers and i'm buying some piece of armor with good linked sockets. This build is very nice and i love it. So can i avoid taking damage taken support? thanks!!!
