Thanks for the quick reply. Must admit I thought the increase showed on the PoE tool tip as well as in PoB.
Thought I would do a quick check.
I REMOVED EO from the passive tree and my tool tip went UP from 67.1 to 71.4. Even more confused now.

I must say I find the mechanics of this game very confusing which does spoil it for me.

Thanks Enki for the comprehensive guide.

Been having lots of fun despite not being able to follow the guide perfectly - still haven't been able to find / afford any worthwhile daggers, for example.

Instead, I've been running with a Moonsorrow wand for the Storm Brand setup and a fossil shield and it has been working well enough, though I'm still quite squishy.

In case anyone is wondering on the viability of what amounts to a poor man's version of Enki's build, aside from Shroud of the Lightless, Doryani's Delusion, and The Wise Oak, everything I have is self-found and I've made it up to (but haven't done many) T8 maps and level 89 so far (xp loss on death sucks!).

I have yet to find one final trial so I haven't even run the final lab yet, nor does any of my gear have any enchantments since I upgrade everything fairly recently. Still seem to be doing alright.

The Shroud of the Lightless was a massive upgrade over what I had personally found / crafted and I don't think I'd have made it nearly as far without it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share how things went for a total noob to PoE (this is my 3rd character ever).

Have you tried the Heartbreakers? They're really good starter daggers for this build. You get top rolled ones with 70% increased Spell Damage for as cheap as 1-5c and if you use the Storm Brand setup and the Whirling Blades setup in them, they even profit from the Culling Strike they grant to socketed gems. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it would even work for your golem.

I have a question about how to make your own weapon like it says on the guide? I am having a hard time finding one on poe.trade, therefore I would want to make one myself. Any tips or help?

Go on Path of Exile Trade. Write your wanted Base for Example "Platinum Kris". Turn Shaper Item Yes and Item Level "85".
Should Cost 70c +-

Your Daggers not bad but you really should aim for the crafted ones next.
Did i oversaw something or do you dont have "cold damage to spells"? Than you should switch to an Stygian Vise Belt with an Abyss Jewel which has "Cold Damage to Spells".(the adds Cold Damage on your dagger needs "to spells" to work for us/ When you wanna get shure hover with the mouse over Arc and look if theres Cold Damage listed)
I Like to craft them myself, buyin a solid lvl 86 base and fossil craft with Metallic+Prismatic.
BTW the Elemental damage to Attack craft on your currenct belt is useless for us. Switch to something better like "flask duration".

I'm still torn between either putting the Storm Brand into Hungry Loop or Lightning Spire Trap.

First I wanted to go for Storm Brand, but the more I think about, the less I like the idea. I use Storm Brand way, waaay more frequently than the LS traps. LS traps are basically only used on some bosses.

The shaped Fingerless Silk Gloves are insanely expensive, even the bases with lower iLvl, so they're definitely out of reach for me anyway. I can't afford them.

So I'm starting to think it would be better to put the LS trap setup into the Hungry Loop and either

1) keep the Storm Brand in my dagger (which has Lvl 20 faster casting) and put the IC+CwDt setup into my gloves, plus Phase Run, or

2) put Storm Brand into the gloves instead and additionally link them to Culling Strike in there, while putting the regular IC+CwDt setup into my dagger (but switch the setup of my daggers, so at least the Decoy Totem benefits of the Faster Casting mod on my dagger)

What do you guys think would be best?
