I noticed in the passive tree that the only lightning specific nodes taken were near the top, would it be possible to change to using the fire nodes instead and playing with fireball instead of arc? i was looking for a fireball build and couldn't find one, but could modifying yours work? or is there something that i'm missing in the build?

The skill Conductivity isn't interesting to use ?
Reducing lightning resistance seems nice, and chance to be shocked is not bad either, isn't it ? Sorry if it's a stupid suggestion. Another very important question, what cosmetics do you use with this build ? (armor, back attachments, weapon, skill effects and such ...) Which skin give us the best possible dps ? :p People reading this topic and using this build may answer too :) Cosmetic's prices are kinda crazy so i want to be sure to pick something which really fit the build, and it's kinda hard to tell only seeing the presentation video of each one. Too much work for me to lay out that information, especially at this point, and it's redundant for 99% of people anyway. I do cover it in the update streams but can't do more than that.

Yes, i've added them to the Leveling Section yesterday. It's an edit of Neversink's filter, optimzied for this build and you can further change it if you want.

It's a good cluster of nodes with bad placement for this build. We'd have to give up other, better stuff to take this.

It would work, but wouldn't be an optimized Fireball build. Gem setup would also need changes and you'd have to think about proper mana sustain.

Assassin's Mark is better, and what we aim for in endgame. There's a base curse limit of 1, so unless you can raise that there's no place for Conductivity, and even if, i'd rather recommend Enfeeble.
As for MTX, I know it's kind of a generic answer but simply get what looks good to you. Most Supporter Packs give some decent looking sets plus points to buy other sets, and you can also wait until the set you'd like to have is on sale. Personally i'm mostly using old Supporter Pack MTX (Journeyman Set & Outlaw Cloak) together with Automaton Arc & Lightning Warp. twitch.tv/enkivt

Hi. Thanks for the guide. I am a beginner and I have some trouble understaind this part (Act 1, Leveling this build):
‣ Throw away Freezing Pulse and craft a +1 Lightning Gem Wand/Sceptre ‣ The recipe is Magic Wand/Sceptre + Topaz Ring + Orb of Alteration ‣ If needed, the recipe for Topaz Rings is Iron Ring + Green Skill Gem ‣ Put Arc + Arcane Surge + Added Lightning Damage in there How can I put Arc + Arcane Surge + Added Lightning Damage "in there"? I thought "in there" refers to the weapond, but that does not make any sense because it is a 1 gem wand? Sorry for the dumb question. |

Hello, can someone advise me on how to proceed with my character Ninalinea on Standard? The damage is amazing, I am resistance capped, but I got hit at one point and lost all my mana and nearly all health thanks to Mind over Matter.

Hello there, looks like this build is still up for 3.7.
After looking through it, looks like we're reverting to the old mana-based build and dropping the ES setup. Okay, but some questions: -Why dropping EO and picking crit multi based build now? -Why using Lightning Warp and not Leapslam/WB anymore? Would love to try this build but I am currently busy playing a new char for Legion now. |

+1 refers to the "+1 Level of socketed Gems" part, the weapon itself should be 3-linked.

You don't have much Life on your gear. Replace the belt, rare ring and as good as it is, also Choir of the Storm to get more Life, once you can afford a Mana Leech Watcher's Eye and replaced Mind of the Council you may use Choir again. Most jewels are lacking Life aswell.
The other thing to work on is Flasks. A good Flask Setup (properly rolled and with 20% Quality) is very important in this game, and currently you don't have any of the ones listed in Flask Section. Check it out to see which base flasks & affixes you want and how to easily craft them. And also get the Alchemist nodes asap. Last but not least, i've also noticed your Gem Setup is incomplete and you're using the wrong movement spell. Your char should feel much better after you've fixed all those things.

1. The initial plan was using burn prolif to counter Arcs chain range nerf, but GGG killed this before it could happen and the prolif gems feel horrible. Still, the crit setup synergizes better with pathing to Acro/Phase Acro and gives easy ignites for Cinderswallow Urn, and potential shatters if built for that. And the damage just feels more consistent now. 2. The movement attacks required us to stack attack speed and felt absolutely horrible until you had lots of it. Now that we also need more Shock Effect thanks to Beacon nerf, Abyss Jewels are the better option and Hypnotic Eyes only have a single attack speed affix, that's not just conditional but as a suffix would also take up a slot for the strictly more important Shock Effect or Crit Multi. As a nice side effect, this change also doesn't limit us to specific weapon types anymore. twitch.tv/enkivt
