First time poster and PoE newbie as well. I am working my way through the story and sitting at roughly the end of Act 8 with a level 63 elementalist I am trying to take the Arc Witch route.

If I post a link to my character can someone tell me if im on the right track? I do pretty well except against bosses.

First thing I would tell you is that your wand is only two linked, not three linked. Need to take care of that ASAP. Actually, since you are in act 8 by now, i would say its time to drop those Uniques (the helmet and rings). They are low level uniques and do nothing for your build. You will have much better success if you get yourself a good yellow helmet and yellow rings.

More importantly, its time to find a 4 link for your Arc. The easiest is on the armor. I dont know how easy it is to get a 4 link on console, but see if there is one at the vendor, preferably with all 4 blue sockets, then buy it, use an essence or alchemy orb on it, then put your arc on it. That will be the biggest dps increase you could do for now.

You don't need two mana flasks, one will do for now until you get better leech. Try to get a diamond flask to help with your dps. The main thing is to start looking for 4 links now, for your helmet and gloves and armor, and better rings in general. Get rid of that two linked wand, or use an orb of fusing or two to link it.

There are lots of other little tips you will pick up as you go, but those are the most glaring things i see atm.
In mapping, wont the mod mirrored be insta-kill for us ?

No. Check out Paragon of Calamity, which is an essential passive ascendancy node for this build.

How would increase critical strike damage compare to unleash in this setup. In PoB it shows quite a bit of dps increase whilst unleash is miniscule improvement. Enki said unleash is difficult to calculate so not sure about that one so asking if you guys would have better insight. Currently using 5l inpulsa but been wondering when i unlock that last link should i put unleash there as guide suggests or improve crit dmg.

PoB does not reflect the damage boost Unleash gives because it's conditional. Almost any relevant support gem will appear to be a better choice because of this. (The minor boost to damage you're seeing only reflects the small increased spell damage the gem gives from having upgraded quality.)

Enki has tested extensively and may be able to comment more on how the gems compare in a late-game or single-target setup. I could see a case for it, as it would give stronger shocks than Unleash. Multiply your PoB damage by 1.30 and that's about what Unleash gives you in terms of sustained DPS (if you're just sitting there in one place and spamming arc). That's not necessarily a realistic indicator, though. As soon as you factor in time spent repositioning to avoid enemy attacks, Unleash becomes stronger in ways that are difficult to quantify.

This much is clear, though: Unleash is much stronger for map clear speed. It allows you to vaporize multiple large mobs with a single cast. The improved burst damage when you release 3 seals at once can't be matched by anything else.

Hey Enki, first of all thanks for your previous answers!

Now I need your wisdom again. I have two problems, that are kinda one:

I'm in Act 9 and I literally get insta-killed from full health and often from full shield too all the time. Every time I do a Legion encounter, the moment they come alive I'm insta-killed. In the mines, I get randomly insta-killed every now and then. In my first Syndicate encounter I got killed 8 times, including getting instakilled within less than a second of respawning and then again 3 seconds after respawning again.

And the other is that when I'm not killed, I often get stuck on permanent zero mana due to the insane amount of incoming damage + Mind over Matter. But if I remove MoM I'll just get killed twice as much. Increasing health could help with dying but won't help with mana. And I often end up running around like a headless chicken with zero mana, unable to teleport or cast Arc. I have a Hallowed hybrid flask that sometimes gives enough breathing room, but some monsters are just impossible to get rid of and do so much damage every second that even the flask won't save me.

So should I focus on more maximum mana? More mana regen? Or more energy shield?

I also have two simpler questions:

Wouldn't Herald of Thunder or Conductivity worth it to be squeezed in somewhere?

Wouldn't it worth it to level up Cast when Damage taken a little so that I can level Armageddon Brand and Purifying flame higher?

Thank you very much in advance, and keep being awesome! :)

Can't see your character in your profile; you have to make it public.

Are your elemental resistances all capped? That's the first thing I would check if you're dying so easily. If they're not, that will make an enormous difference and possibly solve your problem right there. If they are, I'm guessing you simply need more life and mana on your gear.

Herald of Thunder would be nice, but there's just not a place for it in the build. We can't afford to run things that reserve a significant portion of our mana because of Mind over Matter, which means 1 aura, and Wrath is the necessary choice because of mana leech Watcher's Eye, plus maybe a low-level Clarity because it's only reserving a tiny bit.

Conductivity doesn't work because we can only have one curse on enemies at a time, and Assassin's Mark is more important for damage.

Armageddon Brand and Purifying Flame are used for utility, debuffing, and synergy with Cinderswallow Urn, not for their actual damage. It's more important that they be triggered as often and as easily as possible than that we try to squeeze a little more damage out of them. Best we can do is get them at 20% quality and keep them at the recommended levels (buy them as 1/20 gems and level them accordingly).

Thank you for the answer. I noticed quite a change when comparing my 5l build an switcing hypothermia with unleash as enki suggested in some earlier post and first hit clear difference is quite real. Now just to hope i can 6l my inpulsa in some unforseeable future and do some testing with crit dmg too.

Awesome, glad to help!

I would recommend buying a second Inpulsa's and trying to 6L that one while you wear the 5L. Use Hillock in fortification to get quality to 28% before you start dumping fusings into it, though!
