Yeah, I have been trying to get around to replacing the Loreweave for a couple seasons now. I have been using that since 3.4 OR 3.5 haha.
In game DPS is 25k going to 40k when arcane surge kicks in. Spell Crit chance on Arc listed at 49% with a 244% spell crit multi. I just switched my bandit quest today so that should help, previously I had the skill points.
49% is not bad, but we definitely want to aim for higher. You want at least 60%, 75% is ideal.
As Enki states, tooltip damage doesn't mean a whole lot, but 25k is kind of low nonetheless. I would focus on getting all your gems to 20/20, switching to Inpulsa's, and getting weapons like the ones in Enki's guide, focusing on crit chance and multiplier.
I have been playing a lot of arc witch the past 2 weeks and love it a lot. I would like to have some input on my gear choices and build from the more experienced poe veterans.
also I intentionally did not spec into golem liege and I dont use any golem skill at all. the reason is pretty stupid: I simply dont like them running after me and I just prefer to rely on my arc / orb of the storm alone, being a "pure" lightning mage with no minion shenanigans. (again: not the smartest thing)
I do realize I concede some free dps/dmg reduction with all the golem buffs that are very efficient but I would love to hear from you how I can respec into some different parts of the passive tree.
also not having golems frees up some skill gems slot. Do you have an idea for one more defensive cwdt (cast when damage taken) setup or any additional defensive or utility options?
Your gear is mostly pretty good--I see you enjoy multimodding things! I'm a bit confused by the damage conversion on the gloves and you'd certainly be better off with a good rare helmet with the LW enchantment instead of Devoto's, but it's definitely solid overall.
As far as the rest, you already know what we're going to say: give up on the quest for purity and get golems! They are absolutely the most efficient use of your passive points and ascendancy points--there's nothing that can come close to the offensive and defensive returns you get on such small investments. You're only saving 3 skill points avoiding the golem cluster, and there isn't another useful ascendancy node you gain by skipping Liege of the Primordial; the only real sacrifice you've got to make is the gem slots. You're also missing a really valuable defensive wall by dropping golems, in addition to the considerable buffs they provide.
However...if you're really that opposed to using golems in the name of archetype purity, I would try Storm Brand/Onslaught/Culling Strike in your other weapon and use an increased area of effect support gem in your OoS setup (instead of culling strike). Someone else might have a better idea here, too.
Also, get a level 21 Vaal Arc and try corrupting all those juicy 20/20 gems!
Edit: totally forgot about LST. If you can move one of your 4L gem setups to a 3L (e.g. by dropping faster casting support from LW), you can also go for something like this:
Lightning Spire Trap is a massive boost to single-target damage, though it is obviously limited by its nature as a stationary trap that can be destroyed with area damage. Make sure you have Advanced Traps Support, preferably as a Shaper mod, or else it will feel way too clunky.
Then again, if you're opposed to Golems, it stands to reason you might also be opposed to traps. ;)

wow - thanks a lot for your valuable insight. LST is definetly something Im not opposed of and want to try.
the damage conversion on the gloves: When I multimodded I had one last slot left and was not really convinced of the available options and when I first read that it sounded pretty good because in my mind it converted the physical damage (which I had 10%reduction without golems) to 75% dmg reduction. its only 21% though and in hindsight it does not make a big difference and even getting additional mana was probably the right choice :D but I am learning every day.
the devoto is my personal favorite because of the +chaos resistance and the movement speed <3 it also was my first helmet with the LW -30% reduction and this kind of enchantment can get pretty expensive on good helmets. I do have a second (better) rare helmet with +res that I can use when I switch to the kaom's roots boots for the uber elder to keep my resistances on 76/76/76.
I'm happy about my gear overall - trying to get a level 4 empower support for a level 26 arc - dropping the controlled construction for it. the right choice and worth?
I dont really miss the golems - my only problem is: I had to spec into pendulum of destruction instead and OH GOD ITS SO SO BAD :(
thanks again - will report back how the LST setup work for me!
As i was curious to see how my damage would perform, i crafted an other weapon for my version of the build.
as someone, who is not going into crit but minion dmg instead, what would you suggest as a final suffix?
there is not a much reasonable choice. i was thinking about either
- incr. lightning dmg (which is only 16%), or
- chance to deal double dmg 4-5%
or would incr. crit spell chance still be the best choice!?

Apologies in advance that I can't give you a definitive answer, since I don't have access to PoB right now. The right choice is either double damage, crit chance, or crit multiplier--definitely not lightning damage.
The right thing to do would be to check it yourself with PoB. Load your character, configure correctly, and plug in the different affixes to see which one gives the biggest boost to Arc DPS. You're not running elemental overload, so critical strikes are still important to damage, even if they're not your main focus.

My pleasure to help!
LST--definitely give it a try. I see you already have a nice pair of gloves for the setup! Regarding damage conversion, I could be misremembering, but I think the mod you crafted was for converting physical damage dealt, not physical damage taken. I don't think it's even possible to craft the latter onto gloves.
Helmet--I understand the sentimental attachment, haha! It is helping your mobility out for sure; I just think good life and mana rolls would ultimately be stronger. It's much easier to buy a base with the enchantment and then craft it. Fossil-crafting is probably best; I chaos-spammed mine until something decent came up.
Pendulum of destruction--yeah, it's a total joke. There's literally nothing useful you can do with the ascendancy points you gain from dropping Liege of the Primordial. :(
Empower--yes, worth it. Enki's advice is to drop controlled destruction, yes, unless you can drop increased critical strikes and still have at least 75% Arc crit chance. (I personally am not even close to having crit chance that high, but I guess it's possible with the right gear?)

i am running elemental overload!? so i guess chance to double dmg seems to be the best choice?!
especially to double dmg. even if i only have a small chance to deal double dmg...wouldn´t that hit be a 100% shock hit even against shaper, isnt it? am i wrong thinking that this would be the biggest benefit?

Oh shit, that's my bad! I was on my phone and could barely see the node on your passive tree, but thought it looked like you had actually not taken it.
In that case, you absolutely want double damage as your last affix; anything crit-related is a complete waste. It's even better if you can get it on both weapons. Alternatively, you could craft the variant that gives you 13-15% chance to deal double damage when focused, if you want better burst damage and don't mind incorporating the extra mechanic into your gameplay.
So I swapped my daggers for wands and had a slight increase in crit chance and damage, but not much. I then decided to recolor my Loreweave to fit in the last gem link and replace the hypothermia I was running, and that doubled my DPS alone haha. Controlled Destruction and Increased Critical strikes is an interesting combination, but definitely is worth the DPS boost. Feeling a lot better now
You mentioned that an Arc crit chance of 60+ is ideal, I am running out of ideas on how to increase my crit chance for Arc. After all my tweaks so far I am still at 50%. Should I be focusing on getting that on jewels more?
i'm new on POE ^^ in the guide you speak about all stat for each gear should have but i don't saw the stat for the shield is there something specific we need ?
as i'm realy new i try to take realy the good thing for understand.
