Why elementalist if I may ask what specifically draws you to that ascendancy over others. Was looking for a reason in an FAQ section or something and didnt see one. If you have answered before and I missed it im sorry.

Not bad with a proper (=/= expensive) setup. Surely new influence modifiers will open up some possibilities like 7L staves aswell, right now i've only planned around very basic stuff. Then there's also Awakened Gems.

It still is, Three Dragons is very common and in worst case easy to chance. Craft some Cold Damage to Spells and farm lower content to still shatter until you find one.

Staves nicely fit the passive tree progression and are generally cheaper, since they're less popular and incase of multimodding you only need to do it once, not twice. There's also fairly common Div Cards for 5L/6L staves to get started. And atleast prior to patchnotes there were also some good 7L shaped staff possibilities, but i'm sure the new influence stuff will bring some aswell.
Time will tell about awakened gems, Awakened Spell Echo surely looks great.

Anything until you get the staff nodes, then of course switch to a staff.

We still shock for 15% with the ring veiled mod. Freezing is for good clearspeed without requiring two rare/boss gated uniques (Inpulsa + Storms Gift) to get the build going.

The jewel socket is only connected on one side. I chose this to be able to get to Heart of Thunder and Golem Commander during act progression without pathing through a jewel socket that people likely have no good jewel for yet.

A few reasons. Early on it's a good source of leech, ailment- and reflect immunity without having to wear literal alt shards or gear that you just won't have any access to yet, think SSF for example.
The golem buffs are Elementalists saving grace right now. They give lots of generic damage and crit for both HoI and Arc, speed for Arc and Leap Slam and phys reduction, something the build always struggled with. And just the fact that i've started this guide way before ascendancies existed, and don't intend to temporarily move to a different class when this one fits the builds intended purpose pretty well. That said, don't get me wrong. I don't think Elementalist is in a good spot, i've been pretty vocal about that since idk, Betrayal or so.

So i build my passive on the old passive tree (3.8.0) Bad is that i have to change a lot of in the passive tree. But nice written. In the Build it looks like that the most rare gear is better then the episch one. Thats korrekt? |

You COULD add three dragon helmet with arc enchants as High budget lul. Tho it's not worth getting it at all. Like absolute very last item to get.
