look at it like this - like you said let's assume PA used to do 2000 at lvl 20

2000*1,3 = 2600 dmg - so this would be the old case.
Edit: pierce doen't actually give 100% - but rather 69% - so the actual damage would be 2538 but still
Now with the changes Your PA would deal 42% less damage at lvl 20.
So the base damage is 2000*0,58 = 1160, after that we add our 200% dmg from tree - 1160*1.2 = 1392 and then the more damage from new gem - lets say its 29% more damage (like slower projectile) 1392*1.29 = and we end up with 1795 - and that is actually a lot less.
That being said these calculations are based on the assumption that the new gem provides 29% more damage - and that the PA base damage is actually reduced 42% at lvl 20
Ok lets try it this way.
right now sitting in town with a 4 link pa (21PA,culling strike,conc effect,4 empower) my pa does 14,109
ok so now i add in pierce now it does 16,092 - adds 1,983 damage
ok i remove pierce and add slower proj now it does 18,710 adds 4,601
thats
so the multipier gem adds 2,618 more damage than the additive gem.
Obviously this number will be lower with the nerfed gem but as of right now if i could use the 2 new multipier gems rather than the 2 additive gems my in town damage would go from 21,228 (6 linked) to 26,464.
thats a 24% increase in damage over the gems we still have now. and thats if those gems only increase by .5% like slower proj does they could increase by 1%. so if all we take into account is JUSt the gems were going to be looking at a 18% nerf.

Well TS is buffed...., so it looks like I am going back to Ranger.
As for my RF Incinerate getting nerfed out of existance (and no I didnt use the Eleron ring trick)...... Taurekareka! E mero! Whiti te rā!

Any chance in the near future to see the removal of frost blades target requirement?
It's still the only high range skill in the game that requires target.

I laughed at the incinerate nerf, i knew they would be loosing damage per stage, didn't think they would be loosing spell echo....feedbacks going to be really salty about that
