• Melee Splash now only has 35% Less Damage to Other Targets at level 1 (down from 50% Less). It now has 26% less at level 20 (from 31%). This is a buff.
• The damage bonus of the Less Duration support gem has been reduced. At level 1, it has been reduced from 20% to 10%. At level 20, it has been reduced from 29% to 19%. Given the strong utility of this gem, it doesn't need a damage bonus that high.

So Less Duration is reduced from 20% to 10% at lvl 1, and 29% to 19% at lvl 20, keeping the 10% nerf throughout the leveling process, but when it comes to the Melee Splash buff, the 15% difference at level 1 ends in 5% difference at level 20.

Just wanted to start new league with fire trap/space vortex trap DOTs combo with some crazy ignite on mines against bosses. I agree whit poison on traps/mines was overpowered and understand that it required nerf, but killing other possibilities?!
Melee/bows/self casters/totems/minions/one-button CoCs - no thanks.
Traps/mines were the only play-style mechanic that satisfied me (not turn off brains on map clear).
Hard to see that "one-button builds" encouraging more and more. Those are BORING!

To clarify, as far as I can tell from the patch notes, the only gems whose damage modifier won't apply to DoT anymore are Trap and Remote Mine. This does not seem to affect Trap and Mine Damage as far as I can tell. So fire trap / fire nova mine / etc should not be affected, as they are not using that.

The only casualty other than bladefall mines would be vortex mines, but I don't feel that's a huge impact on the damage output it has anyway.

bladefall mines/traps and vortex mines/traps, if you prefer. I thought my mentionning both trap and mine support made adding that clumsiness in the sentence unncessary, apparently I was wrong.

Wanting more buffs for underused skills and other stuff is fine, but that doesn't change the fact that you were contradicting yourself.
