Path of Exile 2.4.0: Atlas of Worlds Patch Notes
Destroying 90% of the builds because "they were too strong" (we allowed them because we don't care but hey we make mistakes and our testers never reached lv 50+ so we couldn't predict the outcome) But hey don't panic you incredible crazy dumb noob --regeneretion mod now applies only on tier 8+ maps-- (to help you not die right?)WOOOOOOOOW Bet your testers had that problem :((( what the fuck is this seriously even my grandma controlling the mouse with his teeth wouldn't see that as a problem

" the nerfs of the prophecy council uniques and cast on crit both were announced. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Can someone give an example of a coc build that can actualy play the game content now?
It sure needed some balance maybe even a 50% dps penalty but making it completely worthless is wrong for the game imo. If you continue to balance stuff like that what will be left in a year or so? Balance skills, nerf them when they are op,but don't remove the things that make PoE the game it is. And find a solution for melee balance for god's sake,it's been 3 years now! |
|
Not sure i understand wg logic behind Some balance changed, some forgoten spells got masive Boost while melee skills get crappy buffs, speacialy single Target ones like heavy strikes or glaciar that despite being among the worst get the lowest buff.
Olso where is the buff to elemental hit? Or are they going to introduce Some melee weapon with 6 attacks per sec and no maña cost to make it somewhat viable self found league fan

It's okay to nerf CoC or EQ, we all know that, but the point is how ? You don't have to smash them on the ground like that. Instead of one big patch which shock everyone, better make smaller alteration and see how it goes.
Ironically bow builds stay the same, should we change it to path of ranger now ? Leave out the reach nerf as we have the hydra now. Just in term of survivability it's already better and any melee build, not to mention clear speed. I don't see how the 19% or even 50% dmg increase for cleave will help if you have to literately smash every single mob, maybe for novelty or BDSM reason ? One more thing to point out is, as a F2P, GGG gets money through supporter packs and the majority of community, not the 1% streamer opinion, though they play a role in directing mass opinion about the game. If the community ( or the majority ) does not feel happy with it, it's simple. Either you change or players can always find other game. Agreed that Mathil can kill Uber with almost any build on his stream, but that doesn't apply to 90% of the community, and to nerf something for the sake of 1% instead of 90% is ridiculous. |

" The problem with that suggestion is that a lot of this wasn't "unintended" - they were being used exactly as they were designed to be used. It's just that GGG didn't anticipate how they would get. Announcing the...intentions...of an upcoming major patch a bit beforehand would help, however, I don't think it would affect people's reactions much since, by then, they've already invested into those things. It would just mean they wouldn't be completely blindsided. Note, though, that some of the changes in this patch WERE announced beforehand and, well, 82 pages (and counting) of whining shows just how much of a difference that made. Also, there's actually MORE POSITIVE stuff in this patch than negative. Just count all those buffs. Plus major performance improvements. Plus new content. Etc. etc. Even wrt to builds, they've actually ENABLED more builds now (via buffs to old skills) than the number they've hurt (not "destroyed", as some claim). It's just that they also packaged in a few major nerfs to some very popular builds as well - and people typically respond a lot more to negative stuff than positive, especially when they've invested into them. |
